What is the Sea Cadets Corps?
The Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a Federally chartered youth training organization which helps young people, ages 14 to 17, to explore careers in the Navy and Coast Guard ashore and afloat. Providing positive role models for young adults, the Naval Sea Cadet Corps objectives are to develop good citizenship, self-discipline, a greater sense of responsibility and leadership skills.
The Navy League Cadet Corps also part of the Asheville Division works with young people ages 11 (10 with approval) to 13 years old also exploring Navy traditions.
The Cadets Drill at least once month. The program is open to all young Americans regardless of race, color, creed, or sex. If you believe your son or daughter would benefit from this exciting program or if you would like to help, please see our contact page.
Since 1958 the Naval Sea Cadet Corps has been committed to providing American youth with a drug and alcohol free environment to foster their leadership abilities, broaden their horizons through hands-on training and guide them to becoming mature young adults.
